David Shillington is a workplace and community training facilitator, with ten years of experience working in mental health and 6 years delivering training to the employment services sector.
He's gained unique experience in the sector working with management, consultants and job seekers, to best understand what challenges that employment services staff face day to day on the frontline. The emotional demands on consultants is significant, and sometimes hard to manage alongside compliance and reporting. Having the right skills to navigate these challenges, feel your best and thrive in your roles long term, is the spirit of this training.
He values engagement, safety and relatability as a facilitator, and finds ways to have a bit of a laugh in workshops where he can (who says training needs to be boring?!)
David is a Principal Master Instructor with Mental health First Aid Australia, and a Performance Counsellor. He has qualifications in Counselling, Community Services, and Business.
